Stephanie Patton
Leadership Trainer
Stephanie Patton is a Leadership Trainer for The Montana Institute, where she has the privilege of supporting leadership development through the lens of Science of the Positive.
Stephanie has been in Public Health for over 20 years, primarily holding roles in community-level prevention and technical assistance for increased community health in Massachusetts. Science of the Positive and Positive Community Norms have been central to her prevention work for many years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a focus on Community Health Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Wellesley College.
Stephanie was introduced to the social norms approach and the early work of Dr. Linkenbach (way back) in graduate school and she has been actively seeking ways to engage with and apply the framework throughout her career.
At The Montana Institute, Stephanie loves engaging with people around the Science of the Positive Framework through workshops and team coaching. She feels honored to build long-term relationships with individuals and agencies, supporting their own growth and transformation. She finds it incredibly rewarding to explore unique applications of this model and learn from the incredible people she works with. She sees immense value in the Science of the Positive and looks forward to exploring its expanded and deeper applications.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys getting outside with her family paddleboarding, cross-country skiing, hiking and participating in Obstacle Course Races. You might also find her on the sidelines of the pitch at a rugby game, or in the audience of play, drinking a large iced coffee and watching her daughter explore her own passions.
